For the past week, Clodagh De Róiste has been protesting peacefully outside the offices of Meath County Council in Ireland. Clodagh is disabled and is effectively homeless. When she cannot find a sofa to sleep on, she has to sleep in a tent. Before her health deteriorated, Clodagh ran marathons and was very active in her community. Amazingly, she has been waiting for an affordable home for twenty-five years. Why do local authority's prioritise the needs of migrants above the urgent needs of women like Clodagh? She's not bitter and does not blame or "other" the migrants. But the fact remains. She is forced to sleep rough while - in some cases - undocumented, able-bodied young men are placed in houses or apartments ahead of her. Clodagh shares her important story with Richie.

Dr Gerry Waters had practised as a family doctor in Celbridge, County Kildare, for decades when, during the pandemic, he publicly challenged Ireland's Covid policies. In March 2021, following an application by the Irish Medical Council, the High Court suspended Dr Waters from the medical register pending the determination of complaints against him.

Dr Waters, however, has consistently defended the position he took during that extraordinary period and has remained a vocal critic of Ireland's response to the pandemic. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is to set out the legal steps she will take to deport the freed ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang. Shabir Ahmed, jailed for 22 years in 2012 for multiple counts of child sexual offences including rape, was released from prison on licence earlier this month. Calls have mounted across the political spectrum for the deportation of Ahmed, who was stripped of his British citizenship following his conviction, leaving him with only Pakistani nationality. In 1998, a British doctor, Andrew Wakefield, published a paper in the medical journal The Lancet that suggested a possible link between the MMR vaccine and the development of autism, alongside bowel problems. He pointed to what he said was a pattern: children developing normally, receiving the vaccine, and then experiencing a loss of skills. The paper was later retracted. Wakefield was denounced as a fraud and he was struck off the medical register.

Now, nearly 30 years later, the mother of one of the children in Wakefield's study has decided to speak out. Paula Aitken's son Colin was known as Child Number Four. Martin Speake said his life was “destroyed” after students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, south-east London, boycotted his lessons because of his opinions . One student said he didn't "feel safe."

The renowned saxophonist was cancelled for claiming there was no evidence of endemic racial inequality in British jazz and that critical race theory was dangerous.

15 years ago, Victoria Haigh's daughter told her that her father was sexually abusing her. Incredibly, the girl was taken away from mum and her father was handed sole custody of her. Victoria was accused of coaching the child and being an emotionally abusive mother. A couple of years later, she was sent to prison for breaching a no-contact order after accidentally bumping into her daughter at a service station. Victoria was pregnant at the time, with her second daughter Sapphire.

She and Sapphire spent six months in a mother-and-baby unit at New Hall prison near Wakefield. After her release they moved to France where Victoria returned to her career as horse-trainer. In 2021 she was handed bombshell information. She learned that UK Athletics had banned her ex-husband for life for grooming a minor! He had remarried in February 2015 but weeks after the wedding he began sending explicit messages on Facebook to a schoolgirl he had met at Doncaster Athletic Club. The girl reported the situation to her PE teacher, who in turn informed the safeguarding teacher at her school.

She has also written to MP's - including Rupert Lowe - to offer her advice on grooming gangs and why local authorities are failing children.

The former home of BBC’s Gardeners’ World could close after claims that plans to build a solar power plant next door would ruin the tranquillity of the gardens. Barnsdale Gardens, in Rutland, was established some 40 years ago by the horticulturist and broadcaster Geoff Hamilton, who presented the show between 1983 and 1996.

South Yorkshire Police covered it up. To this day, not a single officer has been held accountable. Elizabeth Harper is a remarkable woman. She was groomed by a woman, then kidnapped, falsely imprisoned and raped by numerous men. She was labelled one of the most abused girls in Rotherham. Elizabeth's book is a must read.
